For your Direct Aluminium Dibond print, we print the selected work of art on the aluminium composite white-primed surface. The white and bright parts of the original work of art shimmer with a silk gloss, however without the glare. The colors are luminous in the highest definition, the fine details are very clear.
  • Iespiests plakāts (audekla materiāls): A poster print is a UV printed flat canvas with a granular surface structure, that resembles the original version of the artwork. Please keep in mind, that depending on the size of the poster print we add a white margin of something between 2-6cm around the painting to facilitate the framing with your custom frame.
  • Audekls: A canvas print is a printed canvas mounted on a wooden stretcher. What is more, canvas makes a charming and positive effect. A canvas print has the advantage of being low in weight, meaning that it is easy and straightforward to hang up your Canvas print without the use of additional wall-mounts. Canvas prints are suited for any type of wall.

Juridiskā atruna: We try what we can to describe the art products as accurate as possible and to demonstrate them visually in our shop. Nevertheless, the colors of the printed materials and the printing can diverge slightly from the image on your device's screen. Depending on your settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, not all colors can be printed as exactly as the digital version on this website. In view of the fact that our art reproductions are processed and printed manually, there might as well be minor discrepancies in the motif's size and exact position.

When Tissot moved to London in 1871, he immersed himself in the local scene, with work for Vanity Fair and genre paintings with the river Thames as backdrop. This canvas is a repetition of the left-hand portion of one of his most famous London pictures, Bad News (National Museum of Wales, Cardiff), which shows a captain and his girlfriend absorbing the news of his imminent departure while a companion prepares tea, with the Pool of London in the background. Here, the view is of the dense cityscape beyond that stretch of the river. Tissot's friend Degas owned a pencil study for this work.
