This unfinished portrait has recently been identified as the work of Daniele da Volterra, Michelangelo's faithful follower and the author of a bronze bust of the great Florentine artist. Indeed, an inventory drawn up after Daniele's death lists "a portrait of Michelangelo on panel." It was probably painted about 1545, when Michelangelo would have been seventy. It was the source for numerous copies. The portrait looks unfinished, but Daniele has fully described the sculptor's features and his left hand, almost as though recalling Michelangelo's notion that, "It is necessary to keep one's compass in one's eyes and not in the hand, for the hands execute, but the eye judges."

Mūsu piedāvātie mākslas darbi:
In the product dropdown selection you can select your favorite material and size. Pick your favorite size and material among the following options:
- Akrila stikla apdruka: An print on acrylic glass, often described as a plexiglass print, transforms the artwork into beautiful home décor. Your artwork is being printed with modern UV printing machines. The great upside of a plexiglass fine art copy is that contrasts as well as granular image details will be identifiable with the help of the granular gradation of the picture. Our real glass coating protects your selected art replica against light and external influences for between 40-60 years.
- Metāla apdruka (alumīnija dibons): These are metal prints on aluminium dibond with a true depth, creating a contemporary impression by having a non-reflective surface structure.
- Iespiests plakāts (audekla materiāls): A poster is a UV printed flat canvas with a nice finish on the surface, that reminds the actual version of the masterpiece. It is particularly suited for placing your art print in a personal frame. Please bear in mind, that depending on the size of the canvas poster print we add a white margin between 2-6 cm round about the painting to facilitate the framing.
- Audekla druka: The UV printed canvas applied on a wooden frame. It produces the special impression of three-dimensionality. Your canvas print of your favorite artwork will give you the unique opportunity of turning your fine art print into a large artpiece like you know from galleries. The great advantage of canvas prints is that they are relatively low in weight. This means, it is quite simple to hang up the Canvas print without any wall-mounts. Therefore, canvas prints are suitable for any type of wall.

Atruna: We try whatever we can to depict our products as accurate as possible and to exhibit them visually in our shop. Nevertheless, the colors of the printing material and the printing might differ to a certain extent from the image on the device's screen. Depending on the settings of your screen and the nature of the surface, not all colors can be printed 100% realistically. In view of the fact that all our fine art prints are processed and printed manually, there might as well be minor differences in the exact position and the size of the motif.
