The painting "The Plague in the Reign of David" was created by the vīrietis Franču gleznotājs Gajs-Luiss Vernansāls gadā 1700. Meistardarbs mēra izmēru - 257,5 × 323,2 cm (101 3/8 × 127 1/4 collas). Today, this piece of art belongs to the Čikāgas Mākslas institūts art collection, which is one of the world’s great art museums, housing a collection that spans centuries and the globe.
