Formerly ascribed to Giorgione, this lyrical painting is now generally regarded as an early work by Titian of about 1515. The surface is seriously abraded, and the canvas has been cut down. It is likely that the right arm originally rested on a parapet and that the whole of the gloved right hand was shown.

Vairāk nekā 500 years old masterpiece was painted by Titian. The version of the painting was painted with the size: 19 3/4 x 17 3/4 collas (50,2 x 45,1 cm). Oil on canvas was used by the European painter as the technique for the work of art. This artwork forms part of the Metropolitēna mākslas muzejs mākslas kolekcija. Pieklājīgi no: Metropolitēna mākslas muzejs, Ņujorka, Bendžamina Altmaņa mantojums, 1913. gads (license - public domain). Moreover, the artwork has the creditline: Bequest of Benjamin Altman, 1913. Further, the alignment of the digital reproduction is portrets un sānu attiecība ir 1: 1.2, which means that the length is 20% shorter than the width. The painter Titian was a European artist from Italy, whose style was primarily High Renaissance. The European artist was born in 1477 in Pieve di Cadore and deceased at the age of 99 in the year 1576 in Venice.
